Terms of service

IMPORTANT! You must be 18 years or older to commission!

PAYMENT

The entire payment must be paid in full before the costume's completion. You are allowed up to 4 (four) payments, one must be made up front upon acquiring a commission slot, you must pay the entire price in full by the last payment. The first payment must be at least 25% of the total price, which will act as a non-refundable deposit (more details can be found under "cancellation". Shipping is not included in the original quote, and is entirely dependent on your location. Your project and delivery estimate will not begin until the payment is complete. Your fursuit will not be shipped until postage is paid after project completion.

DUCT TAPE DUMMYS (DTDS)

If you are commissioning any of our fullsuit options, you must provide me with a usable duct tape dummy. You will be sent a video tutorial on how to construct a DTD upon request.

REFERENCES

Please have one or more references of your character, this will assure that your commission is completed accurately and efficiently. Significantly altering the reference after your quote may incur additional charges if necessary.

CHANGES AND EDITS

Please be courteous upon requesting changes. You will be sent multiple progress pictures at every stage of the project, if you have a problem with the current design, ideally let us know at the early stages of the project. Drastic changes to the commission that don't reflect the original references and instructions provided during the initial commissioning process will require additional fees. In order to assure a smooth commission process, provide clear specifics on the details of what you want for your fursuit during the early stages of the commissioning process.

CLIENT COMMUNICATION

Clients may communicate through e-mail, Telegram, Twitter/Instagram Direct Messages, or any other approved communication method. If a client response is required to continue to the next step of the commission, and no response is provided within 72 hours, you will be pushed back by one slot in the commission queue until the message is responded to. If a client is unresponsive for longer than a week when a response is necessary, your commission slot will be put on hold, and re-entered into the queue one a response is received. (To clarify: you will not lose your commission slot/deposit/etc., you will simply be moved back in order to allow steady progress through the queue)

DEADLINES

Your commission is subject to an 8 month delivery estimate, meaning your commission will likely be finished and shipped within 8 months of making the final payment. Convention deadlines are not accepted, but we will do everything I can to get it done for you on a timeline that works for you.

REPAIRS AND WARRANTY

Your commission is covered under a 60-day warranty. If you encounter any issues with your fursuit that impairs your ability to use it properly, you have a right to a free repair (shipping is covered one way). We do not currently offer repairs after our 60-day warranty unless there is a critical issue that warrants a recall. In the extremely unlikely event of a delivery that’s lost in the mail, on the fault of the postal service, you will be refunded up to the amount that the postal service allows for insurance. (Typically up to $5000 USD)

CANCELLATION

Homebrewed Suits reserves the right to decline your order for any reason. Your commission will never get cancelled midway through the project, unless in extremely rare circumstances where communication is no longer amicable. You may cancel the project at any time. In cases where your commission has not been started, you have a right to a 75% refund. In cases where your commission is in progress or completed, you no longer have a right to a refund. In cases where Homebrewed Suits cancels your commission, you have a right to a full refund.

LIABILITY

Homebrewed suits is not liable for any injuries you retain while using any of our fursuits. In order to assure your safety, please be sure to stay hydrated, and avoid overly crowded areas. Please contact us if you have difficulty wearing your fursuit, and we may be able to make an arrangement. All products by Homebrewed Suits are made in a clean, shared environment that also houses a cat. All products are thoroughly cleaned and inspected.
